Holiday card!

I am on my holidays on Anglesey at the moment so I thought this card might be appropriate!!
I printed the sentiment on my computer and used sunny yellow cardstock to mat and layer on a pink handmade paper card blank. The first layer is a 'topnote' shape (made using my Big Shot).

The image 'Granny Beach Chair' I was fortunate enough to win in a recent challenge and is from
I coloured this with a few Promarkers...

I added a couple of yellow flowers from my embellishment box
to extend the diagonal line made by the image...
and Clear It Out Challenge yellows and yellow things

LOC #38: A Day For Daisies - Black & White + 1 colour

I had the privilege of using Wild Rose Nymph from A Day for Daisies  for this DT inspiration!

The theme is black, white and one other colour - so I chose magenta!

I scored and folded a small black card blank to start.
The digi I had printed on white - I used my magenta Pro marker to add a little colour and I decided to give this nymph pink button sunglasses...
I used a craft knife to cut a slit to push a bunch of ribbons through and secure in place.
I then matted the image onto magenta handmade paper and layered it onto the card base.
Finally I added a couple of bows!

Christmas in July

I have yet to join in the current trend of using corrugated paper on my cards...
so I bought a few sheets from 'Spotlight' whilst in Australia!

I started with a red card base and added a layer of green corrugated paper to it!
I decided to follow this sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch

Here is my take on it:

The middle element is a Beutron button.
This was placed on dimensionals upon trimmed ribbon fastened in place with brads.

I decided it needed a little extra - and added a Docrafts wooden embellishment.

Pearls and Roses

This month's ATC theme at the UK ATC Facebook swap group
is Pearls and Roses.
This would be my 36th swap with this group, without a miss - so despite being on my travels and away from my craft room, I really did want to send in a set...

For the last three weeks I have been in Australia enjoying time with my grandchildren - so these ATC's have been made while crafting with 7 year old Montana.
I am surprised I was left with any embellishments!!

I also noticed this inspirational photo over at The Shabby Tea Room relating to their

And so these are my 'makes' - hopefully they will be in the post today!
All the ingredients I picked up on a shopping trip to 'Spotlight' in Melbourne...

I will link this first one to the Shabby Tea Room  Challenge

I am not sure if you can see this on the photo - but the roses have been decoupaged by cutting out of a second piece of paper and attached with dimensionals.
This DP is from Kaisercraft's 6 1/2" Pad 'Key to My Heart'.

In this one I have used the sort of 'triple stamping' technique I have used in the past -
layering rectangles of plain cardstock with ones of DP -
in this case Kaisercraft  P751 Knickers from the Madame Boutique collection.

I bought several packets of embellishments from Spotlight
but anything else was from a little card-making kit I had bought for Montana to use!

And here they are a displayed om the UK ATC Swap page:-

I am always pleased when I see they have arrived!!

Sketch N Scrap *NEW* Card Sketch for July

Sketch N Scrap
Here's the new sketch launched today...

First I scored and folded a white card base to fit an appropriate envelope.

The main circular image uses an Inkadinkadoo stamp with the brushless watercolour technique.
(I added Distress Ink to the stamp, spritzed with water and then stamped onto watercolour paper.

I used circular nesting dies to cut out the image and its matting paper.
I used shabby shutters Distress ink to distress the edges of all the elements.
The quotation is a Tim Holtz stamp, 'happiness' is from Stampin Up - as I believe is the DP.
The green is from my scraps...

LOC #36: July 11 - Aurora Wings - Add Sparkle

Left of Center

This is the last time you will see this topper as we have a super new one - thanks to the lovely Lisa Tyrell!!

But now to Challenge #36...
'Add Sparkle' made me think 'Christmas'!

I chose to use Aurora Wings'  Holly Sprite  for this inspiration.

And I decided to use this fold:

The paper was just a 12 in. strip from my scraps,
cut to 4 in. wide and then scored and folded as above.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and added fine glitter for sparkle.
The holly leaves were in my 'bits and bobs' -
I painted them with 'crystal effects' to give them their sparkle!

The 'Merry Christmas' was embossed with white embossing powder.

Hope to see your creation at LOC

I am going to link this card to

Smeared and Smudged July Blog Hop - Steamy!

This just needs the blog hop list!

I decided to go steampunky!

First I added a strip of 'wrinkle-free distress' to my 'Kraft' card blank.
(I smeared a couple of distress inks on my non-stick work mat, spritzed them with water,
blotted with the cardstock and then left to dry!)
I distressed around the edges of this strip with 'antique linen'.

I then distressed a 'cog' embossed sheet with more 'antique linen'.

I trimmed this and then added 'gathered twigs' to the edges.

Next I added the main feature - which would stand in it's own right as an ATC.
I have used this image several times for Steampunk ATCs -

see this compilation of a few Steampunk ATCs I have made in the past...

In fact I came across the image and scraps of DP and gold embossed card in my 'ready to use' folder !

Finally I added all the gold and bronze embellishments!

Sketch N Scrap 'Inspired by' Layout - July

Sketch N Scrap

I am not a scrapbooker so this challenge IS a challenge!!

SNS has provided an 'Inspired by" Layout for July and here is my take on it:

Of course it pictures my beautiful granddaughters - so how can I go wrong?

Ingredients:
12 x 12 papers from Stampin Up
6 x 6 papers and stickers from My Mind's Eye, Miss Caroline, Howdy Doody
Adhesive ribbon from DCVW 'Old World'
Lace, buttons, flowers from my stash.

Hope you'll take a look at SNS and see how you are inspired...

I then started thinking about using the same sketch for a card...and this is what I came up with:

Ingredients:
Free photo from Darkroom Door
Sentiment from Allison Kreft Designs, Love Stamp Set
DP papers from Papermania Capsule Collection
Bunting from Riverbank Revels by Helz Cuppleditch, Trimcraft
Twine, button and flowers from my stash

I will link this card to Through the Craftroom Door - Anything Goes

Just For Fun - New 'Anything Goes' Challenge - July!!

Just For Fun
It's July - and the start of another challenge at Just For Fun - and it's easy
"Anything Goes"!

I decided to make one of my elephant series - if you follow my blog you will know that my cards used to feature a lot of camels (I was living in Abu Dhabi); now it's elephants as I am living in India!!

I picked up this stencil in the local 'Lucky Stores'
and used Sapphire Blue Glitter Frosting Paste (from GlitzCraft) to form the image
on blue cardstock. I matted and layered this on to a white card blank with a darker blue cardstock.

I then started looking at a few embellishments - flowers and bow, no, but yes to the googly eye...
In my stash, I found various sequins, lace and pretty things - this is how it ended up!
I added the corners stamped in bronze.

Hope you will join us at Just For Fun!
